Native, Amanda H. Mika currently resides in the city of Sterling Heights,
Macomb County,
State of Michigan.
Amanda H. Mika attended Wayne State University,
a premier research university located in Detroit’s cultural center. Amanda received a Bachelor’s Degree in the
field of Political Science, following which she went on to pursue a Master’s
Degree in Urban Planning from Wayne State University’s School of Urban
Studies and Planning.
Currently, Amanda serves as the Executive Assistant to
the Mayor of the City of Warren, and has been working for the City of Warren in
different capacities since 2003. She
joined the ranks of the City of Warren employees
in early 2003 when she first began her employment with the city of Warren Attorney’s
office. Initially joining the City of
Warren Attorney’s Office as a clerical assistant, Amanda H. Mika soon transitioned to the position of a law clerk
where her responsibilities included providing input on policy and procedure issues
as they pertained to the City of Warren.
Subsequent to her position with the City Attorney’s
Office, Amanda H. Mika began working for the City of Warren Planning
Department, where her duties were to coordinate strategy development and implementation of
the City of Warren’s initiatives for continued positive growth.
Presently, Amanda H. Mika is serving as the Executive Assistant
to the Mayor of the City of Warren, James
R. Fouts. As The Executive
Assistant to the Mayor of Warren, the third largest city in the State of Michigan,
Amanda’s primary responsibilities are to manage the operations and administrative
tasks as they pertain to the Office of the Mayor of Warren. In addition, Amanda H. Mika is responsible for
the implementation of operational tasks, such as preparing the agendas for all
City Council, managing operational and staffing requirements, and coordinating
all internal and external communications.
A capstone of her tenure with the Mayor’s Office is the planning and
implementation of the Mayor’s strategies to meet the City’s strategic goals of
maintaining a safe, clean, and more efficient Warren.
